Swimming Lessons

Ansley began her swim lessons with Swim Kids, USA, this week. This is her third year doing lessons. She was unsettled the first day because she was expecting to see Mr. Alan, the president of the company and her previous instructor. Instead, Mr. Alan's brother-in-law, Mr. Jeff, was there to teach the class. She was also expecting her friend Lauren to be there, but due to a scheduling misunderstanding, she missed the class. The girls were together for the rest of the week, however. We were excited to see Morgan in class--the daughter of Herman and Jennifer, John Ivey's friends.

Ansley is usually very cold and nervous in class, so she shivers and wimpers almost the whole time. She never volunteers to do the skills, but when told to, she does exactly what she is supposed to do. She was very excited at the end of today's class...she floated on her back for the first time without Mr. Jeff holding on to her...and she jumped into the pool, went underwater, and swam to the side! She was proud of her accomplishment!
