Working on the Wedding Cake...

Mom and I worked on the wedding and groom's cake for six or seven hours straight. It went as smoothly as it could have possibly gone. Everything was made in advance in Atlanta, then assembled and decorated at the church in Camilla. We enjoyed working in the "commercial" kitchen with spacious stainless steel countertops and huge industrial refrigerator. I really enjoyed working with Mom on the cakes!

Bottom tier: White chocolate cake, orange cream cheese filling, cream cheese frosting, decorated with quilted diamonds and chocolate dots.

Fondant decorations for the top of Travis's groom's cake--South University Pharmacy School emblem, pill bottle, and medication. The prescription number on the pill bottle is their wedding date, the drug is True Love, and the expiration--lasts forever!

Three more tiers of wedding cake and the groom's cake...The other tiers were white chocolate cake with raspberry filling or lemon curd filling and cream cheese frosting.

Groom's cake: Victorian mansion chocolate with chocolate mousse filling.
