Back to Bethlehem

Last Sunday night, we remembered the reason for the season by going Back to Bethlehem. A local church (where Alaina's best friend's daddy is one of the pastors and our pastor's brother is the senior pastor) puts on a production every December called Back to Bethlehem. People get to walk through a very realistic re-creation of Bethlehem as if they were citizens reporting for the census. They get to interact with biblical characters, tour homes, shop in the village, see the Inn, pet animals, dodge intimidating Roman soldiers, and view the live manger scene with Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, shepherds, wisemen, and angels. It is really awesome! It was a freezing night to participate in this, but we enjoyed it and appreciated the hot cocoa and cookies afterwards!
