The Challenge Begins

Yesterday started the beginning of our one-year challenge/adventure. J is training and in-processing in Warren, Michigan, for the week. He is very excited about the new job! We were able to use Skype for the first time together across a distance! We were all very excited by the technology. It will definitely make this year easier!

I had a great phone conference with the principal of the elementary school this morning. He has given the okay for the girls to miss extra days of school for travel. We will just need to make sure that they do well academically throughout the year and that travel does not interfere with standardized testing. I don't foresee any problems with that! He is in the military himself, so he was very understanding. What a blessing!
